Candidate Letter to the editor, Carolyn Webber for State Rep.


Carolyn was born and raised in Malden, MA. and has been a resident of Windham for over 37 years. Carolyn was a summer kid here on Cobbetts Pond in Windham as was her mother. She has had family living in NH since 1674 and has strong ties to the state. She graduated from Northeastern University, and recently retired from Lowell General Hospital where she was Supervisor of Microbiology and Pathology. Carolyn has had the honor of serving on many Boards and Committees in Windham for 25 years. She worked diligently for six consecutive years (1996-2002) as a Selectman. She is currently a Library Trustee. Her past actions as Selectman and her expertise as a manager for over 30 years are a testament of her abilities to serve you as your State Representative.


Rockingham Park will be an important issue for the area in the coming year and voters need to plan ahead in order to keep revitalization on track. Gaming needs to be legalized at New Hampshires’ four race tracks. It will be important to elect the right people on November 4 to achieve this goal. Rockingham Park has been an important part of Salem for 100 years. Breathing new life into this important piece of Salem history must involve the return of thoroughbred racing. Limited legalization of slot machines and/or video lottery terminals will achieve this goal. This logical step would allow many things. The revitalization of the park would:

These are important issues not only to Salem and Windham, but to all of New Hampshire. If she is elected, Carolyn will make it a priority to keep this important icon in her area.

She wants to go to Concord to work with Gov. Lynch and both parties to keep the environment safe and the economy strong. Please vote responsibly and thank you for your consideration.
