What does Windham’s Helping Hands do?

We provide less fortunate families with school clothing, holiday presents, spring baskets, assistance with medical & dental bills, utility bills, educational assistance, school related expenses, academic & sport related scholarships, sporting equipment, food and new coats for all ages.

Who is behind all of this good work?

Many members of the community and schools provide support to our program throughout the year. Our dedicated board consists of Kathy Davis (Windham’s Health & Human Services), Steve Moltenbrey (WPD), Jay Moltenbrey (WFD), Ruth-Anne Calandra, school counselors:Julie Lichtmann, Jean Morrow, Lizz Jodoin & Sally Hunt, Cathy Pappalardo (GBS), Elysha Greenberg and Denise Dolloff. We also have about 20 other volunteers who help to coordinate donations several times during the year.

"Back to School Clothing Drive"

Windham Helping Hands would like to help those needy families to provide school clothing

for school-aged children.

There is a large Red Schoolhouse at the Nesmith Library displaying paper dolls, with suggested purchases. Take a doll or two and purchase these items and return them with the dolls attached. Bring in the gifts by August 11 and attach a gift receipt if possible.

Your gift will provide a positive and confident beginning to their school year.
