Annual Harvest Fest

When: Saturday, October 17th

Where: Griffin Park 1-4 pm

Info: Pumpkin Decorating/Carving Contest (all ages!)

Hosted by PTA; bring your pumpkins to enter in contest from 1-2 pm

Pie Baking Contest (all ages!) Bring an apple pie to enter!

Hosted by Girl Scouts; bring your pies from 1-2 pm; slices for sale after judging.

Fall Programs 2008

Kindermusik ® for ages 2-4 ABC Music and Me ™

When: Wednesdays, Sept 3,10,17,24 at 10:15 am

-ORMondays,

November 3,10,17,24 at 10 am

Where: Windham Senior Center

Fee: $60/child for the four weeks (includes instruction and take-home materials)

Deadline: 2 weeks prior, unless spaces fill!

Note: You can sign up for one session or both! Please note session when registering.

Resistance Training for Adults

When: Wednesdays and Fridays, Sept. 3-October 10

Time: 8:45 am – 9:30 am

Where: Windham Senior Center

Fee: $50/for the 6 week session (12 classes)

Deadline: August 22nd

When: Monday, September 8th, Monday October 27th, Friday Dec. 12th

Time: 10 am

Where: Griffin Park (by Multi-Use Building) – except Dec 12 – at Sr. Ctr

Chair Yoga for Adults/Seniors

When: Tuesdays, September 9 through December 9 (no class November 11)

Time: 9:30-10:30 am

Where: Windham Senior Center

Fee: $30/resident; $35/non-resident

Trip to Foster’s Clambake in York Harbor, ME

When: Tuesday, September 16th

Time: 9:30-3:30 pm

Fee: $45 (includes meal, tax, tip, entertainment, transportation)

Deadline: September 2nd

Foxwoods Trip for Adults

When: Wednesday, September 17th

Time: 7 am – 7 pm (leaves from Park and Ride by Shaw’s)

Fee: $25/person (includes motor coach and food/Keno vouchers)

Deadline: September 5th; you must pre-register for this trip

Mom & Tot Yoga for ages 2-4

When: Friday, September 26th or

Friday, October 17th

Time: 10 am – 11 am

Where: Windham Senior Center

Fee: $6/class (includes mom and child!); or $10 for both classes

Deadline: One week prior, unless spaces fill! Space is limited!

Note: You can sign up for one class or both! Join us for an hour of fun and play as we introduce

yoga to you and your child. During this class, moms, dads or caregivers will have the opportunity to learn basic yoga poses

that are sure to put a smile on everyone's face! We'll also experience using yoga with stories and as a parent/caregiver,

you will learn creative new ways to read books with your children. Come prepared to watch your child get the "sillies out"

and then magically transform themselves into beautiful butterflies!

Adult Yoga for Beginners – Everything you wanted to know about yoga- but were afraid to ask!

When: Thursday, October 2nd

Time: 9:30 am

Where: Windham Town Hall

Fee: $5/person

Info: Always wanted to try yoga but not sure it's right for you? This is the perfect place to begin. We will

start with a brief introduction including the history of western yoga and the many different types of yoga offered.

Then we will introduce a basic Sun Salutation, beginner yoga poses, and some breathing techniques. We will end with

an opportunity for questions and answers. This is your chance to find out what yoga is all about. Please wear comfortable

clothing and bring a mat if you have one. Appropriate for all ages/abilities.

Toddler Hike-n-Seek for up to age 5

When: Thursday, October 2nd

Where: Windham Rail Trail (Depot Rd.)

Time: 10 am

Info: Join us for a fun walk and scavenger hunt.

A is for Apple - for ages 2-5

When: Wednesday, October 15th

Where: Windham Senior Center

Time: 10:15 am

Fee: $6/child; $10/max. family

Deadline: October 5th

Information: Join Windham Resident and Registered Dietitian Noreen Gallo for some fun fall

activities! Come make some yummy apple muffins with your child and learn about preschool nutrition

at the same time! Children will get a chance to bake and taste and listen to a fun fall story while

the moms can get the information that they need to be sure their kids are eating right!

Cooking with Kids – for ages 2 ˝ - 5 – ‘Halloween Treats’

When: Friday, October 24th

Time: 10:30 am

Parent/Child Crafts with Rebecca

When: Fridays, October 31, Nov. 7,14,21

Time: 10 am

Ages: 2 ˝ - 5

Where: Windham Senior Center

Fee: $60 total for parent- child; $85/parent-2 children

Deadline: October 1st (unless spaces fill prior.)

Info: Join Rebecca from Arts Express and come and share your creative spirit with

your child in this fun family class. Make exciting projects out of materials like clay, paint,

foam, and recycled materials. Fee includes four weeks of class and materials.

Ladies Nite Out – Make an Apple Pie!

When: Thursday, November 6th

Time: 7:30 pm

Where: Windham Town Hall

Fee: $10/person; or $15 for two if you sign up with a friend!

Deadline: October 23rd

Note: Join Jennifer for a great time! Bring your own pie dish. You can either freeze

it or eat it right away. Don’t miss this!
